WHO WE ARE


The professionals at The Vocational Expert Group are Certified Rehabilitation Counselors and Certified Life Care Planners who have a combined 35 years experience in the field of rehabilitation. This experience includes assisting people with injuries and/or disabilities with finding work. We use this experience along with specialized knowledge, tools, and assessments to develop objective opinions and testimony based on solid research and methods. We provide high quality work, maintain prompt and clear communication with clients, and handle cases with a high level of respect and ethical standards.

PARTNERS

Roxanne Benoit


Roxanne Benoit has a bachelor of science degree in psychology and a master of arts degree in rehabilitation counseling from Michigan State University. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP), and a qualified Vocational Expert (VE) for the Social Security Administration. Within the SSA program, she currently has eleven (11) Vocational Experts working under her direction. Ms. Benoit is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Providers (IARP) and a Fellow of the American Board of Vocational Experts (ABVE).


Ms. Benoit specializes in family law and personal injury cases, performing vocational evaluations and life care planning services. She also specializes in total disability based on individual unemployability (TDIU) cases associated with Veterans Affairs.

Lauren Petkoff


Lauren Petkoff has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in human resource management from Cleveland State University, and a master of education in rehabilitation counseling from Kent State University.


As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Ms. Petkoff provides expert opinion regarding placeability, employability, and earnings capacity (if applicable) in cases involving: total disability based on individual unemployability (TDIU), workers’ compensation permanent total disability (PTD), family law, personal injury, medical malpractice, and other areas of legal practice. She has provided vocational expert opinion in federal cases. She is also qualified by the Social Security Administration to provide vocational expert testimony in disability hearings.


As a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP), Ms. Petkoff develops and reviews life care plans and medical cost projections in accordance with standards of practice. She has provided life care planning services in federal court cases.


Additionally, Ms. Petkoff continues to work in the Ohio workers’ compensation system as a Vocational Rehabilitation Case Manager assisting those who have sustained work-related injuries with returning to employment.


Ms. Petkoff is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and the American Board of Vocational Experts (ABVE).


Ms. Petkoff is based in Northeast Ohio and has provided opinion in other states such as Pennsylvania, Washington, Colorado, and Texas. She is available to conduct evaluations in person or virtually. She can be contacted at (330) 278-1218 and at lauren@thevocationalexpertgroup.com.

ASSOCIATES

Allison Reno


Allison Reno possesses a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and master of arts degree in rehabilitation counseling from Bowling Green State University.


Ms. Reno is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) who provides vocational expert opinion in matters involving family law, divorce, spousal and child support. She is qualified by the Social Security Administration to provide vocational expert testimony in disability hearings.


Furthermore, Ms. Reno maintains her role as a Vocational Rehabilitation Case Manager in the Ohio’s workers’ compensation system. She continues to assist those who have sustained work-related injuries in obtaining and maintaining employment.


Ms. Reno is a member with the American Board of Vocational Experts (ABVE).
